It works with a gas mechanism to take the load as the tailgate is opened. Then a spring-loaded mechanism to take the weight as you close it – the one ute accessory you must have!
Now isn't that how it should be? As new utes are getting bigger and tougher, the Airplex Tailgate Assist makes the tailgate easier to operate.
Most models are DIY install. We also offer full installation service if required. There is no drilling required to install our tailgate assists. The product uses the existing mount points on the vehicle. Installing a Tailgate Assist, it does not affect the factory warranty on your vehicle as no modification is required.
